The Google Boys

The Google Boys

Page: “I have a story about following dreams.. it’s a story about finding a path to make those dreams real… Well, I had one of those dreams when I was 23. When I suddenly woke up, I was thinking: What if we could download the whole Web,  and just keep the links, and.. I grabbed a pen and started writing!… Amazingly, I had no thought of building a search engine. The idea wasn’t even on the radar.  But much later, we happened upon a better way of ranking Web pages to make a really great search engine, and Google was born. When a really great dream shows up, grab it!” (Pg 23)

I’ll admit it,  I love everything about Google even the story behind the company.. I thought I would share a post thats a little different and hope you like it.

I stopped off at the library this morning &  grabbed the first three books on the shelf without even looking at the titles. The first book on the pile was The Google Boys .   Google Boys is a book for anyone who loves quotes and it’s also a brief introduction if you want to learn a little more about Google. If you want to learn a little more,  I’ll point you in the direction of one novel that made it on my summer reading list called In the Flex by Steven Levy.   I can’t wait to read this book and thought I would share it with everyone. Hope you enjoyed the post~ If you are new to the blog, welcome and hope you will take a look around. Please leave suggestions or tips in the comments. 🙂

What books are on your list this summer?

Will talk soon,
